The characters of Green Day’s rock opera American Idiot are coming to Tempe from April 24 through April 29. Broadway.com is bringing you the scoop on this story of three lifelong friends choosing between their dreams and the safety of suburbia. Joshua Kobak plays St. Jimmy, a nefarious dealer who introduces Johnny—the musical’s lead character—to “the intoxicating life of elicit drug use.” Whether he is a real-life enabler or the “embodiment of Johnny’s addiction,” St. Jimmy is a larger-than-life stage presence. Watch Kobak talk about the freedom to act like a “god” on stage and have “wicked fun.”
